2013 is winding to a close. Typically, the year ending means that your own needs get put on the back burner.
You fail to do the things that will help you with your personal goals, and you may even take a step back. And then the new year comes, and that all-or-nothing approach manifests as “all” in January to contrast the “nothing” of December.
But this all or nothing approach is surely a recipe for disappointment. It’s much better for your chances of success to focus on CONSISTENTLY working on small but profound lifestyle steps to support your goals.
That doesn’t mean you need to obsess during the holiday season. Sure, people often gain weight during the holidays, but not allowing yourself to enjoy this time of year isn’t the solution. I want you to be able to enjoy your favorite foods without binging. Your healthy habits will keep you moving forward through 2013 into 2014, and your emotionally healthy way you’re approaching it will minimize the likelihood of dealing with the typical setbacks.
Make time for yourself this year. Don’t wait until January to go hog wild on your goals. Let’s just get moving in the right direction now at a healthy pace while you enjoy what the holiday season has to offer. Stay centered, relaxed, and on-track for success. A strong foundation now will mean that in 2014 you can see the changes you want to see, rather than just spinning your tires in vain.
The Small Group Format – Maximum Benefits, Minimal Cost
My 1-on-1 coaching programs help my clients get maximal clarity and confidence on how to best attack their goals for healthy fat loss. The problem is not everyone can afford the multi-hundred dollar investment.
So I looked to the non-internet world for ideas on how I could support you and allow the price tag to drop. Immediately I thought of personal training. With personal training, 1-on-1 training is generally viewed as the creme de la creme service. All the attention is on you. And the price tag reflects that. However, small group or semi-private training allows for comparative results at a lower price… and is also more fun. You get a community atmosphere and you get to learn from others as well.
I know from experience this works. Most people enjoy this more than 1-on-1s, actually. And the quality of the service is essentially identical, except not as much “hand holding”. The components of coaching that help people get results stay in tact, but each participant gets to save a significant amount of money by splitting the hour.

I’m a Health, Fitness, & Nutrition Coach specializing in helping women worldwide break from the traps of dietary dogma and to develop the habits, knowledge, and skills required for long term health-first body composition management. I do not advocate any individual diet. In fact, I’d even go so far that I am fundamentally opposed to ALL brand name “diets”. I don’t want you to try to be the best ‘cavewoman’ you can be or put you on some BS ‘detox’ plan, I want to help you create an approach that works for you, your goals, your lifestyle.
My focus is on body composition change in a manner that is focused first and foremost on health – HEALTHY fat loss. Fat loss is not always ideal or beneficial. If you’re looking to fine-tune your physique with extreme precision (ala figure competitions), I am realistically not the coach for you. I also ask that if you suspect or know that you have a disordered body image and/or eating disorder, that you get the help you need (via a psychiatrist or psychologist with experience helping ED patients) before you reach out to ANY nutrition/fitness professional.
